Samantabhadra

$160.00

In Tibetan Buddhism, Samantabhadra (also known as Kungtuzangpo) is frequently recognized as the primordial Buddha. Through innate awareness, Samantabhadra recognized the truth of the ground, or Dharmakaya, without taking rebirth in Samsara.

The Nyingma master, Dzongsar Khysentse Rinpoche, considered Samantabhadra to be the nature of mind, or the unity of awareness and emptiness and appearance and emptiness, as well as natural clarity with unceasing compassion.

Students of His Eminence Garchen Rinpoche frequently recite The Prayer of Kungtuzangpo, The Primordial Buddha Samantabhadra which describes how innate and imputing unawareness give rise to cyclic existence in the six realms of Samsara.
