Dzambhala Empowerment – Friday October 11th : 7:00 pm – 9:00 pm
Dzambhala is the embodiment of the perfect generosity of the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas. The practice of Dzambhala helps to increase prosperity and remove the suffering of poverty so that practitioners can pursue the dharma with a peaceful mind.
Empowerment is a beautiful ritual that introduces participants to their true nature as enlightened body, speech, and mind. This introduction connects participants with their primordially enlightened nature and grants permission for developing the connection via the methods of visualization, mantra recitation, and meditation.
Refuge is required for empowerments. Rinpoche will give the refuge vow before the empowerment if there are people who would like to receive it or if you are interested in the empowerment but have not taken refuge. Please contact Linda McCart at 614-397-3484 to make arrangements.
Lojong: 7-Point Mind Training – Saturday October 12 and Sunday October 13
Make the Practice of Compassion a Part of Your Daily Life.
Bardor Tulku Rinpoche will present the special system of practice known as Lojong: 7-Point Mind Training which traces back to the 11th century Indian Scholar, Atisha. Lojong brings together key practices of the Mahayana path to develop the ultimate level of compassion, or bodhicitta, as well as to gain insight into the true nature of mind. This path also provides methods you can practice in your daily life, including transforming negative circumstances into insights that lead to wisdom and taking on the suffering of others through the practice of Tonglen.
