Please join us April 6 – 8, 2018 for an inspiring weekend of learning and meditation. Khenpo Samdup Rinpoche will bestow the Guru Rinpoche Empowerment, explain the practice and mantra of Guru Rinpoche, and give an explanation of “The Pointing Out Instructions to the Old Woman,” Dzogchen Teachings given by Guru Rinpoche. These teachings are suitable for all levels of students.

Live Streaming
These teachings will be live-streamed for those who are participating in the 2018 online curriculum focusing on The Essence of Mahayana and The 37 Practices of the Bodhisattvas. Recordings of the teachings will be archived on the site and available to view whenever one wishes.

Proceeds generated by enrolling in the online curriculum help to support Khenpo Samdup Rinpoche’s Educate Tibet program, which sponsors Tibetan language and literacy teachers in Khenpo’s native area of Kham, Tibet.

Guru Rinpoche Empowerment
Guru Rinpoche (Padmasambhava) is the essence of all Buddhas. Khenpo will bestow the Empowerment of Guru Rinpoche from the revealed teachings of the great master Pema Lingpa. This ritual introduces our body, speech, and mind as enlightened body, speech and mind and grants permission to train in the visualization and mantra recitation practices of Guru Rinpoche.

Saturday, April 7, 10:00am – 4:30pm
Explanation of the Guru Rinpoche Mantra
Khenpo will give the reading transmission and explanation of the practice of Guru Rinpoche and lead a session of practice. Additionally, he will give a thorough explanation of the meaning and benefits of reciting the mantra of Guru Rinpoche.

Sunday, April 8, 10:00am – 4:30pm
Dzogchen Teachings
Khenpo Samdup Rinpoche will give the reading transmission and explanation of the text titled “The Pointing Out Instructions to the Old Woman”.  In this revealed teaching Padmasambhava directly introduces the nature of mind and explains in how do nurture it in mediation and our daily activities.
