Khenchen Tsultrim Lodro : Turning Happiness and Suffering Into Enlightenment

August 12, 2017 - August 13, 2017

Khenchen Tsultrim Lodro Rinpoche

Khenchen Tsultrim Lodro Rinpoche will teach an incredible text on mind training by the great master Dodrupchen Jigme Tenpe Nyima titled Turning Happiness and Suffering Into Enlightenment. This text explains in clear, direct language how to skillfully use our everyday thought processes and experiences of happiness and suffering as supports for developing beneficial qualities.

Please see important general and parking information below.

Due to our seating limitation, advanced registration is required. We will not be able to accept registration at the door. Khenpo Samdup Rinpoche requests your commitment for attendance for the full two days. While registering online, you will notice an opportunity to contribute by making a donation to help the center offset the cost of the teachings.

Khenpo Samdup Rinpoche has also requested transmissions for two additional practices, the Gurkhukma Kilaya and Vajrasattva: The Wish-Fulfilling Jewel. Both of these deity practices are from the visionary revealed teachings of His Holiness Khenpo Jigme Phuntsok Rinpoche. Please join us in receiving these beautiful and practical teachings from a peerless master.

Khenchen Tsultrim Lodro has graciously consented to live stream his teachings at Gar Drolma. This event will be broadcasted live only.  CLICK HERE for the Live Streaming Link.  (If you watch the stream, please consider practicing generosity by making a donation to help insure the continued availability of the dharma.)

If you are not able to attend the teachings, and would like to offer a sponsorship contribution to support this special event, please make your contribution here. It means so much to us!

  • The temple will be open F‌ri‌day Ju‌ly 11‌th from 8:00 am to 8:00 pm for those arriving early and will open on S‌atu‌rday Ju‌ly 12‌th at 7:30 am. Please arrive before 9:00 am on S‌at‌urd‌ay to ensure you find a comfortable seat. We ask everyone to be seated by 9:15 am to allow time for announcements and to create a suitably quiet environment for the teachings.

  • If you are unable to sit on the floor, there will be seating available in chairs and pews.
  • Please bring as little as possible to the shrine room. Because of the anticipated number of attendees, we ask that everyone be mindful of the limited space available.
  • If you anticipate drinking beverages in the temple, please bring a covered container.
  • In order to offer a space where people can practice, rest, and reflect on the teachings, we ask that you maintain the temple as a quiet space, using functional speech only.

Important Parking Information

  • Please help us be considerate of our neighbors as you park. Gar Drolma is located in a quiet, old city neighborhood with narrow streets. There is no parking lot.
  • Belmont High School located at 2615 Wayne Ave, Dayton, Ohio 45420 [CLICK FOR MAP] has generously allowed us to use their parking lot. Please park there; it is a short 2-block walk from the high school to Gar Drolma.
  • If you must park on the street, we do want to be good neighbors, so please allow room for the people in front and back of you to get out when you park. If you are able to fold your side mirror in, we suggest you do that.
  • We are able to provide 3 parking spaces in the front of the building for less able attendees. Please tell us in advance if you need a special parking space.
  • A list of local restaurants will be available for lunch. Snacks, tea, and other refreshments are available at the Center.
